CHICAGO APRIL 24 2002
I just came back from the house of blues in chicago, where amanda was doing a FREE hour concert. It was awesome........
She was wearing jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt with a jacket over it. She looked great.
Her hair was pulled back a bit cause she was wearing a hat. A cool one, not a baseball one.
She sang for about an hour and gave us short stories on how some songs came to be. I wish I could remember everything she said, but I was just too excited lip sync-ing her songs. She was great. Her voice is cd quality. I
couldn't get over the song system being so error proof. First concert without any mistakes - problems with sound equiptment. I talked to her for only a second. Nothing major, just said hi, and ummmmmmmmmmmm please sign this and this and this... LOL
I did get one photo of me and her. Security took the photo.... I hope it turned out!!!! I sure hope it does.
Anyone else catch this free show? Heck, I would have paid to see it. I found out about it in the morning and totally left work early to get a chance to get good seats..... It was well worth it. Too bad the weather was pouring
rain.. but in a way, I was glad. The place was packed, but not as bad as it would have been had it been nice outside.... :)
I still can't believe how great her voice sounds live. It was like perfect............. just like the cd's....... Can't wait for her new album to be out in June...........
