Sunday Morning After Video Shoot
Toronto, Ontario
Week of Jan. 28 2002
Clip starts with Sunday Morning After playing in the background, someone is putting mascara on Amanda, director is looking through videocamera. Amanda is wearing a black tank top and jeans.
Amanda: 'Videos are fun. I mean, there's a lot of waiting around, not a whole bunch, but more than I'm used to. But by and large, I dig it. Cause it's a chance to see yourself up close and really analyze what you're doing which you don't get to do in live performances.'
Camera shows a t-shirt that says 'Film Crew, Toronto Canada'
Stephen Scott, director: 'She's a real kick-ass (covers his mouth) Oops, can I say that?'
Karina Hubert, host: 'Yes you can'
Stephen: 'She's a real kick ass performer, very animated, lively, full of ideas, and that certainly makes my job a lot easier. You know, she performs wonderfully and I take all the credit (smiles)
Scene shows Amanda a few inches away from a camera, singing along to the whole song. The background is an ellipse in the middle, green on the outside, gold balls in the middle.
This is the only backstage footage they show of the video:(
Amanda: 'The song's about, I guess a girl, we'll call her girl-x incase my mother's watching, who wakes up the morning after the night before, a wild Saturday night, it's the Sunday Morning After.'
Video footage
Amanda: 'I wrote the song with the two guys that I collaborated with on the record, Billy Mann and Peter Asher. This particular song is the heart of the humor of the record, and it was born out of a session where the three of us had been working for 18 hours straight, and we were really just trying to make each other laugh. So the lyrics kept getting progressively more and more out of hand, as we tried to make each other laugh, so that's sort of where it came from.'
Karina: 'Well do you still have hangovers?'
Amanda: (laughs) 'Well, I'll tell you a little secret (slides in towards host), I don't drink'
Shot ends as Amanda says this, and the film crew applauds
Unfortunately they didn't really give away too much about the video:( However, it should be safe to assume that there won't be as much green screen or techno stuff as there was for Everybody's Got A Story. And judging by how long it took to get the EGAS video released, it should be safe to assume the video will be out sometime in March;)
