THE 2002 JUNO AWARDS

Well, the 2002 Juno's were a huge success, even though Amanda did not win the two awards she was up for. It was great to see her perform, and the rest of the show I thought was pretty fantastic. I went through my tape and recorded what I thought were some of the best bits of The Juno's..including a short interview with Amanda and her actual performance on the show. And below is a little bit more as a wrap-up:)

*This may be hard to get cause all of the songs are Canadian haha..the first one is David Usher, then Sloan, Shaggy (he's not Canadian though;)), Nelly Furtado, and Jann Arden. It was really funny to watch the reactions of the celebs, I thought Shaggy got quite a kick out of it as did David Usher. Jann Arden was trying so hard not to laugh, I was on the floor myself:)
Amanda at "Fan Fare" signing autographs for the huge crowd Saturday April 13 (check out her Atlantic outfit :))Amanda showed up 10 minutes before show-time looking amazing as always, she has a great sense of style haha. She came out of a black luxury car with Rob Misener, and was dressed in a brown leather jacket, with a big bandana sort of thing around her head. Did I mention she had straightened hair and it was almost brown? She looked very cool, kinda like a gypsy/hippie
The first award given out was Best Single..unfortunately Amanda lost to Nickelback and their song How You Remind Me
For the performance..Amanda took to the stage to a enthusiastic crowd. She had a very short tank top that read Canada Kicks Ass, a funky white hat, and ripped jeans, with a big white strap around her waist. I don't want to give away what she sang, you'll have to hear it in the clip..but in the background on the screen are pictures of a stick man with huge hair, and later the screen switches to show "Amanda M Was Here" scribbled in red graffitti, which I thought was pretty cool cause I just did a background somewhat like that haha.
Newspapers reported that Amanda showed the most skin of the night
And according to one, Amanda and Shaggy after The Juno's " even went as far as crashing a prom, making it as memorable as proms are supposed to be, but never are."

The Best Artist award was then given out..surprisingly it went to jazz superstar Diana Krall
And then the show was pretty much over, I'm sure a lot of partying went on afterwards haha. The best Juno's ever? Yeah, I think so. Maybe Amanda will win one next time around to top this year's:)
